At a certain point you will mentally check out, unless your external motivation is so strong that you can push through the tedium. Why does it HAVE to be tedious though?

The answer is that it doesn’t.

There are variables that you can change about your training method to not only make drilling more effective but also more enjoyable. We’re going to go over three of them in this post, and let’s start with listing them:
  •     Spread drilling out into smaller chunks that can be easily absorbed.
  •     Break down technique into its individual pieces and drill those in diverse applications.
  •     Create a chain of interconnected techniques that loop continuously.

BJJ Connection : Best Grappling Tournaments Organizer in Nevada

Since the world watched in awe as Grappling Tournaments Nevada master Royce Gracie won the first, second, fourth, and Ultimate Fighting Championships in the early 1990s, Jiu Jitsu has become increasingly important in the international community of martial arts. Many people decided they wanted to start training themselves when they saw Gracie fight opponents much larger and stronger physically from all kinds of other styles such as boxing, karate, judo, tae kwon do, and fight, and once in time he would submit and defeat them all.

You have to spend a lot of time actually apply the techniques and skills learned in just as close to a fight in the real world, as you can without getting unnecessarily hurt; which is exactly why there are tournaments in all martial arts. If you are a serious student, then before you enter the first tournament, the better. Do not be intimidated, just get there, relax, and have fun. You can not continue to learn and progress in Jiu Jitsu only from the study and practice alone, although of course they are important.

These are not mixed martial arts fighting cage where almost anything goes. There are strict rules designed for your safety. There will also be several categories of competition with the classes for a wide range of age, sex, sometimes the weight, and rank belt. You will not be required to compete with a teacher, if you are a beginner. You will definitely be signing a waiver releasing the organizers from liability should you get injured, but again, you need not fear for your safety.
